You will float more than being on the unit you’re actually contracted for. There are several ICUs in which they will say you will float too but you’ll go to med surg. They have a in house float pool called Tiger Flex and will float those RNs into the unit and float the traveler RNs to med surg. They give you the run around and blame the staffing office for doing this. However, I called staffing after being floated 3 shifts in a row and was told to take it up with a supervisor. The supervisors say it’s not fair and understand why it’s frustrating but don’t take any authority and tell staffing to keep the tiger flex nurses on med surg instead. They have a locked psych unit that they call integrated medicine which is not safe for staff. A traveler was floated there and told it was not an acute psych floor and was physically attacked by a patient. This has been ongoing for over 8months as previous travelers have complained. They do not care and abuse travelers here. Stay away unless you don’t mind essentially being a float pool nurse. They don’t have very many core staff either and many have left since the 2 months I’ve been here. Would give 0 stars if an option. Pay for monthly parking that is not covered and about 1/4 mile walk.

Parking costs and if you work there during football season...well let's just say this town values the tailgaters more than the nurses that are there to save lives. You have to find different parking on game days even though you pay for parking or you will be towed.

Paid Parking. No garage. Not covered - you’re walking 0.25 miles in whatever weather it is that day. If it’s football season you get booted out of that area and told to park at another location on game days.
